Toronto Non-For-Profit

Bringing hope to the homeless in the community one care package at a time
Employment Services
For whatever the cause that led to homelessness, financial difficulties, inadequate education and/or abuse, there are resources that can assist with societal re-integration in a safe and healthy manner. These centers can help rescue those from the homeless cycle permanently.
It is important to understand that education and employment opportunities for the homeless are very different than those for the non-homeless. Their exacerbating factors including the inability to maintain proper hygiene or nutrition, lack of appropriate professional clothing, inability to follow shelter rules due to long employment hours or physical and mental health issues, make it very difficulty to obtain a job and commit to it long-term. Therefore, there is a need for tailored resources to directly assist the homeless to obtain proper education, training and employment. There are a few known services within Toronto that have been created to do just this. Hopefully with greater awareness, there will be greater employment assistance and opportunities available.
