Soup kitchens and food donations are available to walk-ins, if site specific eligibility criteria are met and maximum capacity has not been reached. Though we wish all soup kitchens would be open to everyone, the lack of resources available limit this possibility. We hope that our contributions will be able to help with this down the road!
Our first experience assisting the homeless began in a soup kitchen and it was one of the most humbling experiences we were able to complete as a family. There is more than enough food to go around in the Toronto community, and it is time that we take action as a community to share our resources to provide nutritious meals to those struggling with starvation everyday. We hope that with increased awareness on soup kitchens and food donation centres, that there will be an influx in the amount of resources donated to assist the homeless.
